Open Air Burning

An operational permit is required for any type of open burning or recreational fires within the city limits.

If you live outside the City and have an approved controlled burn, please report it to Fire Dispatch at (512) 930-3510 and give the location of the fire and a contact number in case someone reports your fire.
Periodically the Williamson County Judge places “burn bans” on burning within the county. Always ensure you report burning prior to burning. You can do so by contacting Fire Dispatch at (512) 930-3510.
No open flame cooking device shall be operated within 10 feet of any building, including overhangs and projections from a building. The only exception to this is for one and two family dwellings.
